After 6 long, agonizing months of waiting.. My game is FINALLY gonna be released...
So this thing was SUPPOSED to be dropped way back in November. couple weeks later, pushed back to December. "Oh, we can't mess with the 360 launch, we have to push it back." So final drop date February 14. Went to my local GameCrazy just last week to reserve my limited edition copy, complete with a free poster (Woo!)! Guess what? 4 more days homies! WooOOOO. I'd explain the game like I can in a nutshell.... but i don't want to. See for yourselves: http://www.gamespot.com/xbox/action/mar
So anyway.. SCIDM is coming.. For those who don't know (which is probably most of you) SCIDM (Southern California Invitational Drill Meet) is the BIGGEST ROTC drill competition in Southern California. I'm in AFJROTC if you didn't realize yet. Freshmen year was cool.. Sophomore year we came out NUMBER ONE in the REGION. Seeing how our practices have been going THIS YEAR however.. Well, let's just say i'm a little disappointed.. Hey, there's always that late "push" that gets us done, but maybe i'm just weird. "With great power comes great responsibilty." Quote from Spiderman 2 [one of the greatest movies ever]. As practically the number one drill team in california, we have a RESPONSIBILITY to SET AN EXAMPLE. I don't accept losses, [unless someone beats us miserably.] So I'm not going down to s. cali to lose. I'm disappointed because i feel like our practices are going kinda nowhere. [i'm sure you probably already noticed, Jon]. Yeah people see us ppracticing and what not, but with my 2 years of experience at SCIDM, I can feel our lag. We should really be done with the routine about next week and just brush up later on. Lots of reasons to name: 1)New cadets. I know i shouldn't blame them, but with a new 20 team, we have a lot of new people. Not to mention how hard it is to teach, but to add to that, perfect it like they've been doing it for at least a year. 2) Practices don't last 4:30 anymore. those 30 minutes could add up to a good 5 hours extra of practice. But not much of a reason because we should be setting up our own weekend practices.. 3) too many juniors. WORK WORK WORK. and im dropping my real thoughts on this, not holding back. FUCK THAT. You can't go to practice because you have work. We told you to keep your work til AFTER 4! "Oh, i wasn't here last week when you said that" But the funny thing is, we've been saying it for the past 3 weeks, even BEFORE SCIDM tryouts. 4) again, Juniors. "Oh, i know the routine, i don't even need to practice." This is what they're thinking in their heads. Then tryouts come "Hey! why are you in front of me on the ladder?? you weren't even on the team last year?!" BECAUSE I PRACTICE, YA STUPID ASS!! Yes i'm a little heated.. sorry? Well it's not like you all know me.. cept for my man Jon. ha! Hey i just had to get that out. PHEW.. Don't think/look/talk to me different during practices though okayy? Who knows, maybe we will get it together before it comes..
Well, i HOPE nothing can ruin me before the 14th. I'm too excited anyways. HA. Don't be surprised if i'm at home all week next week. Don't bother me homies, i'm taggin.
Peace.
